Oh my god! which one is this? Once there was a rickshaw-puller.
ओ त कहलिए, रिक्शावाला हम कहलिए।
That I told. The one about the rickshaw-puller, I already told.
कहि ने कोनो वाला, कहि दहि। लाल गाछी वाला कोन कहइ छौ? लाल गाछी वाला कोन छै?

देखी कैमरा के, बैटिको डाउन भ जेतए ऐते देर में। कहि ने, जल्दी डाउन होइ है बैटिक। ओहै कहि ने जे कहइ छियौ।

एगो मुसरबा छल। एगो मुसरनिया छल। मुसरबा कहलक कि से खीर खैब। त मुसरनिया कहलकय कि ठीक है से मालिक कतअ स धान ल के आऊ। त ऊ धान ल क आयल, त मुसरनिया सुखै लै देलक।
Once there was a male mouse and a female mouse. The male mouse wants to eat rice pudding. The female mouse says fine, but bring me some rice. The male mouse brings rice. The female mouse lays it out for drying.
त उ मुसरनिया कहे है कि “सुखले धान सांझ तक।” त ओकर समधी कहे है कि “बैठ रे मन बिहान तक।”
Then the female mouse chants “rice will dry till evening.” The father-in-law of the male mouse and female mouse’s child chants “O my heart, wait till morning.”

त कहे है कि इ त समधी आइबये गेलौ, से हम झूठ फूस के तोरा मारइ छियौ कोठी पर, आ तू बाप बाप रिरिओ।
Then the male mouse tells the female mouse that he will pretend to beat her by making a sound as he actually beats the grain container, and she should then pretend to cry in pain.
त ऊ लाठी से कोठी पर मारइ है, आ ऊ बाप बाप रिरिआइ है। आ ऊ लाठी से कोठी पर मारइ है आ ऊ बाप बाप रिरिआइ है।
Then the male mouse actually does that act and the female mouse pretends to cry in pain. The male does that act and the female pretends.
त ऊ माइरते माइरते गाछी तक चइल गेल। त ऊ ना ओकर समधी कोठी तर में नुका रहल।
Beating and beating, he leaves for the garden. Seeing this, their child’s in-law also hides under the food container the male mouse was beating to make sound.
त आयल न, त कहे कि समधी त चइले गेले, आब बनो ने।
When they return after some time, the male mouse tells the female, “now prepare it. He has gone back.”
आ बनेलक ना, त खाइत कला में समधी निकल जाइ है। त कहे है कि से, “यऊ समधी अहां अभी तक छेबे छी।”
The rice pudding has been prepared, and as soon as they begin to eat, the in-law appears again from his hiding. Seeing this, they say, “hello, you are still here.”
त कहे है कि “कि यऊ समधी यऊ लगाऊ ने दू थारी।” नइ ओकर घरवाली कहे है कि जे अथी, हम कोनो कनइ छलिए।
Then he tells them “Hey, prepare two plates of pudding now.” The female mouse then tells the male mouse “Hey, did you really think it was me who was crying? Actually not.”
त ओकर घरवाला कहे है कि हम कोनो अहां के मारइ छलिए।
The male mouse then replies, “Hey did you really think I was beating you? Actually not.”
त ओकर समधी कहे है कि हम कोनो गैल छी, हमु त छेबे छी ना।
Then their child’s in-law says, “Hello, did you both really think I was gone?”
